Socio-Economic
1. Macklemore x Ryan Lewis “Wings”
The song talks about shoes but really he is not talking about the shoes he is talking about today's society and how he uses the line “ we are what we wear” this shows that we are all judged by how we look and dress when really we are all consumed with fitting in we end up being trapped in an image that isn't who we really are because, in reality, we are trying to be someone we are not.
2. The Black Eyed Peas “Where is the Love”
They had seen so much hate on their tour after 9/11 they wanted to preach empathy. While the song announces war and hate overseas it also called out gangs and the KKK and even the government for breeding hate in the US, they also condemn the media for perpetuating people's fears even further, this song was also relevant when it was redone in 2016 to reflect on Syria immigration and the black lives matter movement. Regardless of the era, the track’s theme of love continues to unify fans.

2. MKTO “Thank You”

They are talking about the way that they feel that the older generation is messed up lots of different things that might not affect them but it will affect us. They feel that the older generation has ruined that world for us. They say that the older generation can’t tell us how to live our lives because it won’t help us.they are saying thank you for nothing as they think that there is nothing left to lose because the generation before us has taken it. For example, the war they have left and the world they have ruined overnight. They are making a statement that they are here and are not going to keep their opinions to them selfs.

Technology
1. Katy Perry “E.T.”

In the song even though it is more of a science- fiction theme, the use of technology in the video is incredible. The artist says that the song “is the metaphor about finding someone who is just obviously not from this would because how could they love me like this?”
2. Jamiroquai “Virtual Insanity”

The song warns against the threat of insidious technology and its increasing control over humanity. The video shows Jay Kay dancing across what appears to be shifting gray floor while the furniture around him stay still unless he bids it to move. While Kay looks like he’s gliding along a giant conveyor belt, the trick didn’t lie in the floor at all, but in the walls, which were built to move around the stationary floor.
3. Jessie J “Technology”

This song is her talking about how she seems to be looking at the computer waiting for a message. She is talking when a person is ignoring you and how it is so easy to keep calling because your heart is telling you too. Also how hard it can be to have a long-distance relationship and how texts and calls feel like kisses and cuddles. She says that she feels like she is in love with technology because that is the only way she can see the person she most wants too.
Week 3 - 9/12\19
Emotion
1. X Ambassadors - Unsteady
If you read the comments on the songs youtube you can see the was that the song has touched so many people. The song’s video has a mother how has cancer and it is about her love for her family.they also say that you can hear the pain in his voice when he sings the song. So many said that the song brought them to tears. The song for me just hits home about the real struggle that so many people face every day.
2.Thomas Rhett - Marry Me
So the music video for this song was exactly what the song says witch is quite rare now. The comments are mostly about the video and how it ends they were to see more because they leave it on a cliffhanger so it is hard to end the song. The song itself is so beautiful because it is talking about the watches her grow and he falls in love with her but he lets her go to get married to another man because he wants her to be happy and she ends up standing outside a dinner for him. It took her till she was walking down the aisle to realize that she loves him.
3. Kodaline - All I Want
The music itself is so moving and it has such an amazing message and the music video comments it so well. The video is so sweet it is about a man who was born with a facial defect and he has been bullied throughout his life as well as in the office. This is shown when he uses a mug that says the world's best employee and the bullies change it to world best freak and he got mad but he can’t do anything because he is at work. Then one of the girls as being grouped by the men and he beats them up for her.
